Effective Dates: Feb. 3, 2021

3. Section 431.15 is amended by:

a. Throughout this section, removing the words “subpart B of part 431” and adding, in their place, “this subpart”

b. Revising paragraph (a);

c. Redesignating paragraph (c)(4) as paragraph (c)(7) and paragraphs (c)(2) and (3) as paragraphs (c)(4) and (5), respectively;

d. Adding new paragraphs (c)(2), (3), and (6); and

e. Revising paragraph (d)(1).

The additions and revisions read as follows:

§431.15   Materials incorporated by reference.

(a) General. Certain material is incorporated by reference into this subpart with the approval of the Director of the Federal Register under 5 U.S.C. 552(a) and 1 CFR part 51. To enforce any edition other than that specified in this section, the Department of Energy must publish a document in the Federal Register and the material must be available to the public. Standards can be obtained from the sources below. All approved material is available for inspection at U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, Building Technologies Program, Sixth Floor, 950 L'Enfant Plaza SW, Washington, DC 20024, (202) 586-2945, or go to http://www1.eere.energy.gov/buildings/appliance__standards/.
